NJDGE okays the Evolution expansion – the fine print
There were a few conditions that came with the approval of the expansion from the regulatory body of the State of New Jersey. Above all, Evolution Gaming has been required to ensure that its operations are fully compliant with the terms and conditions set by the New Jersey regulators. As part of that State compliance process, Evolution must ensure that its facilities obey the laws of New Jersey, in particular the State’s laws on CCTV cameras for casinos, which require that all of Evolution’s gaming tables, whether in active play or idle, must be recorded for documentation purposes.
While at first glance it may appear like bureaucracy for its own sake, but it’s further clear evidence that the New Jersey Division of Gaming Enforcement (NJDGE) is serious about protecting the rights of online gamblers and visibly promoting transparency throughout every facet of the Garden State’s online casino industry.
What this effectively means is that that the Evolution Gaming studio will go live once the NJDGE asserts that the “CCTV and security coverage” requirements have been fully met. Once approved and finally operating, the NJDGE affirms that the facility’s security will transfer to the responsibility of the Hard Rock Security Department.
Aside from New Jersey, Evolution Gaming has plans to expand into neighboring Pennsylvania later in 2020. The Keystone State game studio facility is expected to open its doors sometime later this year.
